Is the gel safe around pets and kids?
Yes. RepelGel's active is plant-derived peppermint oil — there is no rodenticide, no anticoagulant, and no bait that a dog or toddler could eat. Place open containers out of casual reach and keep lids on tubes, and it's safe to use throughout homes, garages, and barns. It's also safe around barn cats and working dogs, which poison bait never is.
How long does one application really last?
Underbody beads last about 60 days in open storage — longer under a car cover where vapor concentrates. Placement containers in enclosed, low-airflow spaces like attics and campers run up to 90 days. Your nose is the gauge: if you can't smell mint at arm's length, it's time to refresh.
Why choose gel over traps or poison?
Because prevention beats cleanup. Traps and poison only work after rodents are inside and chewing. Gel keeps them from entering at all — so there are no carcasses rotting in a heater duct, no secondary poisoning of pets or owls that eat a dosed mouse, and no weekly trap-checking chore.
