How it works & how to apply it

A tire is a ladder. Rodents climb the tread, step onto the spring perch, and they are inside the chassis without ever touching the ground clearance you were counting on. Treating the climb-off points is what stops them.

1·2·3 How to apply it

Work one wheel at a time so you can see the whole climb path from tire to frame.
Clean road grit off the top of the axle tube, the spring perches and the hangers.
Coat every bracket, hanger and perch that connects the suspension to the frame.
Run the coating 24 inches along the frame rail on both sides of each axle.

✓ Things to consider

Tandem and triple-axle trailers have twice or three times the number of climb points. Budget the product accordingly.
Do this last, after the frame rails, so you can see which surfaces you have already covered.
Dual-wheel setups give a wider ladder. Coat the inner wheel path too.

✕ Things to avoid

Keep gel off brake drums, rotors, calipers, pads and the wheel-bearing hub faces.
Do not coat the tire itself. It does nothing there and it will pick up grit.
Do not apply to a hot brake assembly after a drive. Let it cool.
